Parsix GNU/Linux 7.0-TEST-1 Released - August 16, 2014

We are happy to announce the immediate availability of the first testing release of Parsix GNU/Linux 7.0-TEST-1 code name Nestor. Parsix Nestor ships with GNOME Shell 3.12.2, brand new kernel based on Linux 3.14.17 built using our modernized kernel build system and enhanced live boot system and installer to support UEFI, built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0r1 Released - June 25, 2014

We are proud to announce the immediate availability of Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0r1 code name Trev. This is the first re-spin of Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0 series and merges security and bug fix updates as of June 22, 2014. Trev 6.0r1 version ships with GNOME Shell 3.10.3, and updated Linux 3.12.20 based kernel, built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. End of life notice for Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0 - April 26, 2014

Parsix GNU/Linux project is going to stop security and technical support for 5.0 series as of May 31, 2014. Parsix GNU/Linux Lombardo (5.0) software repositories will go offline on June 1st, 2014 to make room for our next upcoming release. We encourage everybody to upgrade their systems to Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0. If you are interested in keeping 5.0 on your machines, please use Debian Wheezy updates and security repositories. Parsix 5.0 is binary compatible with Debian Wheezy.

Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0r0 Released - April 26, 2014

We are happy to announce the immediate availability of Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0r0 code name Trev. This version ships with GNOME Shell 3.10.3, and Linux 3.12.17 kernel built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0-TEST-3 Released - April 06, 2014

Our third and last official testing release for Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0 code name Trev, has been released. This version ships with GNOME Shell 3.10.3, and Linux 3.12.15 kernel built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. A lot of updates have been made and all reported issues have been resolved. All base packages have been synchronized with Debian Wheezy repositories as of March 15, 2014. Stay tuned! Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0-TEST-2 Released - February 22, 2014

Our second official testing release for Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0 code name Trev, is available now. This version ships with GNOME Shell 3.10.3, and Linux 3.12.9 kernel built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. Almost all GNOME packages have been upgraded to the latest stable versions and base packages have been synchronized with Debian Wheezy repositories as of February 16, 2014. Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0-TEST-1 Released - January 19, 2014

We are happy to announce, that our first official testing release for Parsix GNU/Linux 6.0 code name Trev, is available for immediate download. This version ships with GNOME 3.10.2 desktop environment, and Linux 3.12.5 kernel built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0r1 Released - December 25, 2013

Merry Christmas! We are proud to announce that, an updated version of Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0 code name Lombardo is available now. Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0 ships with GNOME 3.8.3 desktop environment and Linux 3.8.13 kernel built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. This version has been synchronized with Debian repositories as of December 21, 2013 and contains additional bug fixes and updates released on Parsix repositories. End of life notice for Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 - October 19, 2013

As announced before, Parsix GNU/Linux project has ended security and technical support for 4.0 series as of October 18, 2013. Parsix GNU/Linux Gloria (4.0) software repositories went offline to make room for our next upcoming release. We encourage everybody to upgrade their systems to Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0. If you are interested in keeping 4.0 on your machines, please use Debian Wheezy updates and security repositories. Parsix 4.0 is binary compatible with Debian Wheezy.

We are proud to announce that the final version of Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0 code name Lombardo is available for immediate download. This version ships with GNOME 3.8.3 desktop environment and Linux 3.8.13 kernel built on top of rock solid Debian Wheezy (7.0) platform. Parsix Lombardo introduces systemd as the new init system and has been synchronized with Debian repositories as of August 7, 2013. We are proud to announce that an updated version of Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 code name Gloria is available for immediate download. This version ships with a brand new kernel based on Linux 3.2.43 and merges Debian testing updates as of April 17, 2013. All bug fix and security updates have been merged into a freshly built ISO image. This version also introduces Iceweasel 20.0 as the default web browser. Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0r0-TEST-3 Released - October 14, 2012

The third and last testing version of Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 is available now. It took much longer than expected as we spent a lot of time on ironing some installer bugs and issues we had with the 3.2.30 based kernel, but at least we have a very stable system now. This version synchronizes repository software packages with Debian testing branch as of October 8, 2012 and kernel has been upgraded to Linux version 3.2.28. Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0r0-TEST-2 Released - August 19, 2012

The second testing version of Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 is available now. This version synchronizes repository software packages with Debian testing branch as of August 12, 2012 and addresses several known issues with the live system, installer and desktop configurations. Kernel has been upgraded to Linux version 3.2.23. Our package repositories have been transferred to a new US based server sponsored by Inverselogic Inc. Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0r0-TEST-1 Released - July 4, 2012

The first test version of Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 is officially out now. A Lot of progress has been made and most of the known issues are resolved now. The look and feel is pretty much finalized except some minor issues, we have a brand new 3.2.20 based kernel, improvements have been made on the live system process and the installer and more. Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0-preview-053012 Released - May 31, 2012

The long awaited preview version of the upcoming Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0 code name Gloria is finally ready. This version is a big step forward and ships with tons of new features and updated software packages including GNOME 3.4.2. Parsix GNU/Linux 3.7r2a Released - February 20, 2012

After Raul r2 release, we started receiving live system X.Org start up issue reports from some of our community users. We started our investigation and the issue turned out to be a rare live file system corruption mainly effecting 64 bit machines with Intel graphic chips. This issue is now fixed and to avoid any confusions, we have deleted the old set of ISO files and they are now replaced by 3.7r2a set. Please use this new ISO files. Parsix GNU/Linux 3.7r2 Released - February 11, 2012

The second and probably the last update release of Parsix GNU/Linux 3.7 codename 'Raul' is available now. This version comes with several updated packages including GNU Iceweasel 10.0 and also merges all the published security and bug fix updates as of February 10, 2012. It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since we published our first public release. We have come a long way and hoping to be able to serve our user community as long as we can. Parsix GNU/Linux 3.7 Core Edition Released - September 8, 2011

A special edition of Parsix GNU/Linux is available now. Parsix GNU/Linux Core edition is a stripped down version of Parsix GNU/Linux DVD that ships with text tools and no X server. This edition is suitable to be used for data recovery, partitioning tasks, fixing installed systems, building server systems, installing a custom system etc. Core edition ISO images are compiled using SquashFS 4.0 with LZMA compression and it ships with our standard Raul Linux 2.6.37.6 based kernel. Parsix GNU/Linux 3.7 Released - August 14, 2011

We are proud to announce the immediate availability of Parsix GNU/Linux 3.7 code name Raul. This version is built on top of rock solid Debian testing branch as of Feb 7, 2011 and brings tons of updated packages. We decided to ship GNOME 2.32 with this version and GNOME 3.0 is planned for Parsix GNU/Linux 4.0. Our brand new Linux 2.6.37.6 based kernel with improved configuration is patched using TuxOnIce 3.2 suspension/hibernation, Kon Kolivas's BFS and extra hardware support patches. For the first time we are including certain drivers from kernel's staging tree including the new experimental nouveau graphics diver for nVidia chips. Updated installer provides even simpler interface and enables installing Parsix on existing software RAID partitions. Some changes have been made to the default applications stack. Parsix GNU/Linux 3.6r2 Released - April 2, 2011

Spring greetings from green hills of Santa Clarita, California! After revamping our website it is the right time to release the last maintenance update of 3.6 series a.k.a Vinnie. This release merges all the published security and technical fixes on the software repositories into a set of updated ISO images. As always, we support both 32 and 64 bit architectures.
