Howto install ATI Drivers

To install latest ATI graphic drivers, open a root terminal and:

1) Install the pre-compiled ATI kernel driver and control panel:

# apt-get update && apt-get install fglrx-driver libgl1-fglrx-glx fglrx-control fglrx-kernel-`uname -r`

2) Create a new /etc/X11/xorg.conf file using the following content:

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "Video Card"
    Driver      "fglrx"
EndSection

3) Make ATI kernel driver to load automatically:

# echo fglrx >> /etc/modules

4) Reboot the system

# reboot
