One year ago I tried a testing version of Ramon and have never looked back, I was a Ubuntu fanboy from Dapper on but as new releases came and went nothing ever got fixed after the release date, it became the blind leading the blind, never saw a developer contribute anything on the forums, the last 2 releases have not even made it on virtual machine for me. Parsix, is my main Distro,If you don't already know I also run Arch Linux, as my second permanent machine Arch is fun its cutting edge most Linux updates are running the same day (apart from the base that is tested first) with no modifications to the developers code but they don't always work so then it is do it yourself thats what Arch is a do it yourself Distro, never ending reconfiguring files. Parsix on the other hand is stable and reliable easy to setup and maintain and fast, I do all my work on Parsix most things just work from the box. Alan tests new applications before packaging them, If you do get a problem It is worked on and fixed. Alan keeps a eye on the forum and will help in any way he can as do the mods. Parsix is like a family no newbies, ( I hate that word) just new to Parsix In my eyes. As it stands Parsix will remain my Distro of choice for a long long time.

Here here!!! Smile I've been distro hopping for y ears...literally! I couldn't believe my luck when I finally stumbled upon Parsix; seemingly out of nowhere. I'm hooked too! I've always found a kindred spirit in Debian and Debian based distros and I find Parsix to be the perfect balance of power and ease of use. Thanks to Alan for all his hard work (and that of the other developers!) Merry Christmas!

i have tried 31 different linux distributions in total over the last year or so, and i have to say parsix is by far the best. don't get me wrong, there are some very good flavors available, but parsix isn't just a flavor of linux. it's a three course meal Wink
