next problem.... (do these ever stop!)
my fan is dead quiet a lot of the times....
then for some strange reason it just goes beserk for hours on end.
I can't believe its a heat issue, as it would cool down with high fan, then become quiet again, but not go on and on for ages.
now don't call me superstitious, halloween and all!!! but it's only ever noisy at night!!!
is there any explanation for the case of the crazy fan? |

| Fan activity is directly related to your CPU activity. So the question is that, what kind of applications do you run? Do you have any specific application running at nights? Like I don't know, bittorrent clients etc? |

| Is this on your laptop is it when its pluged in or on the battery. if its the desk top its usually the bearings are dry and make a terrible noise. |

laptop is no more... it's the desktop now.
its really really quiet most of the time, but come night time, when i want it quiet, it goes loud for hours.
also, gave up on the usb headset which works fine with ubuntu, as parsix is not doing it (except through vlc player). |
