It is exciting to see the release of Parsix 1.5r0 aka Viola! I've been running this release since the very early days and Parsix has replaced my other distros on all of my computers! Great work! For those of us who are more experienced and like to live on the bleeding edge, what will the next release of Parsix be code-named? How can one update his or her sources.list to begin testing the next version? Just wondering! I know you guys don't stand still. Smile Thanks again for a fantastic Linux distribution!

Parsix Viola probably will be followed by one or two bug fix releases. The first bug fix release will happen after 6-8 weeks. Note that Debian testing branch is going to be frozen on mid of July. Lenny will be released in September and testing will start moving again after that. So, we probably will have a three month of repository freeze on our next unstable release. Then next major version of Parsix will be called `Boss Skua`.

Boss Skua's apt repository will be formed after cleaning up Ramon repositories. Ramon support will be ended on July 29th. Apt code name will be boss.

This is exciting news! Viola is so good, I can't imagine how you'd improve on it further for Boss Skua (which is a kick-ass name by the way!!) If you're interested, I'd be willing to help out with some default themes. I'm skilled at designing GDM themes, wallpapers, Gnome splash screens, etc. I'd be happy to help construct a unique; consistent theme for the upcoming release! Some befitting of 'the boss'. Let me know, I'm happy to help in any way I can.
