| Although I have only the Portuguese keyboard layout available the accents and other symbols changed temporarily. It looked like the keyboard layout changed to USA. I had to logout to have them again. A bug? |

| Did you install Parsix in Portuguese? if not, edit /etc/sysconfig/i18n to solve the problem. |

No, I didn't. I never had to do this. I think now it's ok.

Try editing the xorg file thats what I do remove "us ir" and use your country
http://www.parsix.org/html/PNphpBB2-vie ... -130.html. this Is how I solved the problem, the keyboard will then always default to your language |

| If you like all settings to be set to your native language, do not forget to choose the right language upon booting the live CD before the installation process. |

I'm used to have everything in English and the keyboard in Portuguese. I use also the Portuguese language in Openoffice.org.
I couldn't fix this problem with the keyboard layout and I have plenty of writing to do so I installed temporally another distro. I'm sorry I can't much of a help with this problem but I need a full functional keyboard to layout to do my work.
I will look at the next release to check if it was something that I did wrong or if this is a bug. |
