Something went wrong with FrostWire.
Maybe you're using the wrong version of Java?
(FrostWire is tested against and works best with with Sun's JRE, Java 1.4+)
The version of Java in your PATH is:
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode, sharing)
Should I download Java 1.5? |

| Maybe it's not compatible with Java 6, try apt-get install sun-java5-jre and remove your old java installation and see what happens. |

I dont think so. This is the output with sun java 5:
Quote:

You need to upgrade to JRE 1.5.x or newer from http://www.java.com

If you install java5, you should update paths to it as root:
Code:
update-java-alternatives -s java-1.5.0-sun
If you later go back to java6, then update paths again as root:
Code:
update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun

Hmm, ok, then try it with java6, it works on my laptop with Parsix 1.5.0r0-TEST-1, here's screenshot:
http://lauri.ojansivu.googlepages.com/Frostwire.png
If you're not on Parsix 1.5.0r0-TEST-1, install it.
Then as root:
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get remove sun-java5-bin sun-java5-fonts sun-java5-jdk sun-java5-jre sun-java5-plugin
apt-get install sun-java6-fonts sun-java6-jdk sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin
update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
apt-get dist-upgrade
I'm not sure if Frostwire working is because I have WTK2.5.2 installed too, so it it doesn't work yet, download .bin file from:
http://java.sun.com/products/sjwtoolkit/download.html
Then run as root:
./sun_java_wireless_toolkit-2_5_2-linux.bin
Install it to directory /opt/WTK2.5.2
I installed WTK, because I'm playing with Hecl, that's written in J2ME Java for mobile phones, and has syntax a little like Tcl. Hecl is at:
http://www.hecl.org
In Parsix I start J2ME emulator with this as normal user:
/opt/WTK2.5.2/bin/ktoolbar
I'll write more about Hecl to my webpage later. |

Hmm? Just downloaded deb from frostwire site, installed it, and java, something like this:
Code:
dpkg -i frostwire.deb
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install sun-java6-fonts sun-java6-jdk sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin
update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
