Post subject: How to mount local partitions through gvm/nautilus?

I'm spoiled by ubuntu and arch in that respect.
Exactly how do i set things up so that i can mount local partitions using gnome-volume-manager? (without editing /etc/fstab or pmount.allow).
I am a member of "disk" (ext3 etc), and "fuse" for that matter (ntfs-3g etc). |

| I don't know what happened for you but all partitions were set up for me on install including windows,as read/write. As far as I can see if they if they show on the desktop as mounted with the live disc they will be mounted when you install the system. Hope this is of help |

Oh, I already know parsix created a fully populated fstab upon installation. What i'm talking about is mounting local partitions dynamically when you click them in nautilus, using hal+dbus, but they are otherwise unmounted (non existant in fstab), by choice. Much like how you can dynamically mount a USB pen drive, see?
