Am i the only one who thinks the fonts are a bit off?
When using Ubuntu the fonts looked nicer, but i just cant seem to find out what the difference is.
Is there anyoe out there who can show me how to make the fonts look better?
An exampel:
At www.zenphoto.org, the nav menu fonts are jerky when viewing in parsix, but in Ubuntu they looks just fine.

Now this is a not a "why are you not like Ubuntu" thread. The problem is most likely just a lack of knowledge from my part.

Well, then change the fonts Smile

In Iceweasel:
1) Edit / Preferences / Content
2) Default Font: Change to Bitstream Vera Sans 16
3) Click Advanced
4) Select fonts from two dropdown boxes that are above monospace:
serif => Bitstream Vera Serif
sans-serif => Bitstream Vera Sans
5) Uncheck "Pages can use their own fonts instead of defaults"

Now it looks fine to me!

UPDATE: some corrections made.

OOPS, that's not a correct fix, I coudn't see difference of fonts Times New Roman, Courier New etc in webpage editor http://pages.google.com (same applies to all webapps and webpages that use different fonts) so it used Bitstream font always.

I'll have to get Ubuntu livecd and try to figure out correct fix. If anybody has Ubuntu installed on some PC and finds the correct font settings before me, just post here.

Download msttcorefonts in iceweasel leave as Arobic, proportional to Sans Serif, the next 2 lines Verdana, bottom line Monospace, allow pages to choose their own fonts.
system
preferences, appearances preferences FONTS I use Bitsream Vera Sans Roman, and for window title font I use Bitstream vera bold, for fixed space I use, Mono space,

This gives me a good balance as good as Ubuntu
don't forget to refresh after to get the effects.
