Hi,
Some users Unable to unlock network-admin, services & ... on BOSS! Unlock button is unemployed as root too.
Any suggestions? |

| Try to run it as normal user from comman prompt or run dialog. See if it works. |

| I had this problem at one time too but I decided to simply get rid of Gnome's network admin applet altogether rather than try to fix it. Now I'm using Network Manager, it's in the repositories and handles most networking chores easily and automatically. It's the same applet used by Fedora, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE and many other distros. Alternately, you can try WiCD; another very easy to use networking manager. Cheers. |

I checked this command:

apt-get install --reinstall `dpkg -l | grep polkit | awk '{print $2}'`
on alan's recommendation at technotux.org but the Unlock Button is broken-down yet (when I click on that nothing happens).  |

Try this
System->Administration->Authorizations
and change configuration in
org -> freedesktop -> systemtools-backend ->self
change these options to your user
Manage system configuration
Change user configuration
Edit ->Active Console-> choose Admin Authentication (one hit) |
