I was just about to file a bug about this when i figured it out. Apparently, hibernate-ram (i.e. suspend) removes the uvcvideo module, and inserts it again at resume, resulting in gnome launching "cheese" using hal detection. It was a bit bizarre at first, but easliy remedied;
System>Preferences>Removable drives and media: "web camera - edit video when connected"  |

Thanks u pelle.k it nicely solved my problem.
but the only problem remain is my laptop brightness decrease when I come back from suspend mode and although I try to increase brightness by using "Fn+Up arrow key" or "Brightness gnome applet" but it doesn't have any effect. I didn't have this problem when I was using Ubuntu Hardy on my Dell XPS m1330 laptop.
Any one have solution? |
