Hi Everybody,

I'm proud to announce that Frankie apt repositories are live now. You can enjoy a whole new system with GNOME 2.28.1 + 2.6.32 kernel. Still working on it and need your help to report and fix bugs. Good news is that lot of old weird problems are gone with this new GNOME.

So, hurry, give it a shot.

Repositories:

Wonderful news!!! Will Frankie be shipping with the new experimental Gnome 3.0 shell by chance? Not that I like the new shell myself, but, I'm wondering on the direction Frankie will take as Gnome goes in an entirely new direction with Gnome 3.0. While some distributions are including both Gnome 2.28 and the new Gnome 3 shell, many other distributions are eschewing the Gnome 3.0 shell altogether in favor of an super stable Gnome 2.28.x desktop. On a related topic, might I suggest that rgba be enabled and fully configured by default in the upcoming Frankie edition of Parsix? This, coupled with an especially elegant, slick Murrine theme would really knock the socks off the competition (who shall remain nameless.) Thanks for your continuing great work!!
