The third testing version of the brand new version of Parsix GNU/Linux 1.5 (codename 'Viola') is available now. Viola TEST-3 brings several new features, contains a new kernel, updated software packages and several fixes for the reported defects. This version is synchronized with Parsix and Debian testing repositories as of Jun 7, 2008. Several bugs have been solved (#86, #90, #101, #102, #103, #105, #106, #108, #110, #118, #119, #122, #120, #124, #126, #128, #129), replaced GQView with gThumb image viewer, replaced Camorama with Cheese and readded bug-buddy, gdb and iptraf. Parsix Viola officially supports Compiz-Fusion, VirtualBox-OSE and GNU Flash Player. Highlights: GNOME 2.22.2, X.Org 7.3, Linux kernel 2.6.24.4 with CK, CVE-2008-1669 fix, TuxOnIce 3.0-RC7, iwlwifi 1.2.23 with led support and powertop patches, updated several kernel drivers, OpenOffice.org 2.4.0 and GNU Iceweasel 3.0 RC1.
